Coventry United case study

One of the partnerships that we are most proud of at Prowess Marketing is our work with Coventry United Women FC, an FA Women’s Championship club. We took over the social media marketing in January 2022. We were tasked with using our depth of knowledge in football to enhance their overall social media presence and engagement online.

We are most proud of setting up the clubs TikTok account from scratch. In just five months we gained over 2000 followers and 29K likes. Three videos surged and gained 12K, 790K and 12.6K views each! We achieved this by researching the newest trends, using popular hashtags and music.

The content we crafted was tailor made to each social media site and its user demographic, to provide our followers with the type of content they wanted to see and interact with, with short form, casual and humorous videos being created for TikTok and Instagram reels, which allowed us to show the players’ personalities to fans and followers alike. Meanwhile, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn were more commonly utilised for informational posts surrounding the administrative side of the club to keep our fans informed of kick-off times, player transfers and other additional club news as well as live match updates.
